Aktiv Unveils Storage and Virtual Workout Solutions for Hyperwear Fitness Tools as Hyperwear Highlights the SoftBell Soft Weight System, New Weight Vest and Leadership Additions

Hyperwear’s new SoftBell® Training System of soft, safe and quiet hand weights, dumbbells, kettlebells and cardio barbells will be integrated into Aktiv storage and virtual training solutions. This expands Aktiv’s offering beyond Hyperwear SandBell free weights that have been included in its storage and virtual training solutions since 2017.
Hyperwear celebrates its 10th anniversary at IHRSA in 2018 with the launch of the Hyper Vest® ELITE, its next generation weight vest training along with the SoftBell Training System which revolutionizes at-home and small group training. SoftBell Training is built on soft neoprene hand weight plates that are used with fiberglass reinforced plastic dumbbell, kettlebell and barbell handles allowing for versatility in a safer more cost effective adjustable set. The new weighted vest features durable black Cordura® fabric propelling weight vests forward to the next generation.
New to Hyperwear’s leadership is Jeff Gilberti, President. Mr. Gilberti is a respected veteran of the snow sports and active lifestyle industries. He will oversee sales and marketing while working closely with CEO and Co-founder Dirk Buikema on operations, business strategy and execution. He has previously held executive roles at Burton Snowboards, Fox Racing and TOMS Shoes.
Sarah Ponn, Co-Founder and CMO of surf-inspired training method SURFSET® Fitness, has joined the Hyperwear Team as Vice President of Marketing. She brings broad experience with fitness content creation and digital platform development, both essential components of Hyperwear’s newly launched Small Group Training program. She is developing the HyperFit™ Training Lab, a content platform designed to provide customers with creative programming solutions to drive revenue and retention using Hyperwear’s functional fitness equipment.
