Project Name: Ecosystem in Riverstone Park
Location: Coeur d’Alene, ID
Market Segment: Outdoor Fitness
Project Summary: Coeur d’Alene Parks and Recreation Department and Panhandle Parks Foundation received an amazing donation of Ecosystem by Gym Rax®, an innovative outdoor exercise structure, that has been installed near Riverstone Park beside the Centennial Trail above the river. This unique outdoor exercise equipment was donated by Bryan Green, Founder and CEO of Aktiv Solutions.
The Coeur d’Alene residential community is growing at an exponential rate, and the development of more homes and parks is increasing along with it. While the Coeur d’Alene parks have beautiful structures for children, there was an obvious absence of outdoor exercise structures for adults and families to enjoy together. Bryan Green, Coeur d’Alene resident and Founder and CEO of Aktiv Solutions worked with the Coeur d’Alene Parks and Recreation Department and Panhandle Parks Foundation to install Ecosystem, which was designed to satisfy the expanding need for guided outdoor exercise.
“There exists a nearly insatiable and largely unmet demand for outdoor exercise activation today. Fundamentally, our mission in creating Ecosystem is to establish the same heightened level of user engagement, guidance, and welcoming that our indoor training solutions are known to provide in leading fitness facilities around the globe. Today more than ever we have to meet people wherever they wish to exercise.” – Bryan Green | Founder and CEO of Aktiv Solutions
The 32-foot-long structure has been getting a lot of attention from walkers, cyclists, joggers, and families. The sweeping curves and organic shape of Ecosystem provide an outdoor training environment intended to excite and engage. The structure is intended for both individual and group training expanding the boundaries of outdoor exercise.
“If you think about it, it’s hard to find a space where you would exercise with your kids,” said Green. “Now you’ve got something that makes sense for adults and kids together to do stuff.”
Constructed with creativity in mind Ecosystem offers an array of possibilities for engagement. Designated connection points invite additional equipment integration, including suspension training, tethered resistance, and even aerial yoga hammocks.
This is only the first of many they intend to set up across the nation. With eco-coatings, aluminum structure, and stainless-steel finishing, they are built to last.
